Buffalo is a land animal that has
four feets, two eyes, and it has a pair of horn. There are three buffalo that I
know they are white buffalo, grey buffalo and black buffalo. Why did I say
white buffalo? The color of this buffalo is not so white but we are used to
calling it “kebo bule”, it is located at south town square in kasunanan palace
and about grey and black buffalo are command buffalo that we always see. They
are herbivorous, they eat grass and like to stay in mud. That’s why the owner
of them like to bring them to the mud. Buffalo also like to take a bath in the
river for cleaning their body.
Now, I will tell you about the
advantages of buffalo. You know that before modern civilization buffalo has an
important rule for the famers. they are used by famers for farming. They help
famers to plow their farm before famers use tracktor and they used it for
convanyance. After harvesting the famers used buffalo as convanyance to bring
the rise to the granary. They are also a produser of milk for example in
minangkabau they use buffalo’s milk to make yogurt and for the materials of
mozzarella cheese, and in Padang there is special menu of buffalo, that is rendang
buffalo. They make rendang from buffalo’s meat. The expensive thing is for
people in medan, for example they use it for marriage before the wedding and
from the women is asking for 77 pair of horns. And the last thing I know for
the advantage of buffalo is for a dowry. It is for girls who love fashion they
might know about clothing that made from buffalo’s skin. such as; jacket,
wallet , lether hand bag and many more of buffalo’s skin.
